Comment: Hi- Greg and Jeannie Peck were kind enough to tell me about your web site. It is (without saying) VERY IMPRESSIVE. A bit of historical humor… I worked as maitre d’ and bartender (part time as I was a teacher coach at MERS) for Jack Igoe in the early `60`s. At the time we were the F2. So many times customers passing through would try to impress us by saying: "we also stop at the F1." One hot summer day a beat up old sedan pulled in with "The Clamperts". After dining as they stopped at the register I inquired if all was ok. Jed said "that weren`t no turtle!" I inquired as what they had since turtle was NOT on the menu. Jed asked for the menu and pointed to "RED SNAPPER", C`est la vie! Enjoy your new image and please say hello to Patty.

Comment: Hello, Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your new concept. My first job as a teenager was at the F-2 back in the early sixties. I loved the job and the restaurant business. Since attending college I pursued a career in the food service industry becoming an executive with a major steakhouse chain and later CEO of a restaurant chain in Louisville, Ky. Over the years I have owned several restaurants and can appreciate the sacrifices one must make to be successful in this industry.

A perfect place for a cozy quality meal after several hours on the road, with several more to go. Despite being shorthanded Our hosts did a FANTASTIC job serving us 2/22/09. A top notch menu, Fair prices and a very comfortable atmosphere, this place is truly a hidden gem. I only wish it wasn't 136 miles from home! From the moment you enter you are more than just a customer, 5 Stars all the way.

Comment: Hi: My Dad owned the F-2 from 1954 to 1960 when he sold it to Jack Igoe. My Dad, Nick Rutsis, Sr., bought the F-2 from Earl Sutphen who lived one house south right next to the restaurant and from Kurt Price, who lived one house north. I live in Fort Lauderdale but travel to Boston for business, so I will try to take some time to get over to Sheffield and have lunch or dinner at the restaurant. I used to serve Norman Rockwell and Mrs. Rockwell coffee and donuts on Saturday mornings. We also had some notable customers from time to time such as movie stars James Cagney and Richard Widmark. If you are around when I stop by I can give you some history. By the way, is Patty still working there. I know she will remember me. Nick Rutsis Jr.
